Several semi-truck cabs were damaged by a large fire early Monday morning in south suburban Harvey.
The fire started around 3 a.m. at the FORE Transportation trucking company lot at 167th Street and Lathrop Avenue.
More than a dozen semi-truck cabs in the center of the lot were damaged.
Video recorded by a neighbor showed large clouds of smoke, and some flames coming from the area. The neighbor described what he heard as a "huge explosion."
"There were explosion after explosion that woke my family up out of their sleep. It sounded like mortar fire. It was really huge. It sounded like a warzone, and I was concerned about safety, as far as what's in the smoke. There are some industrial companies back here; not sure what they're hauling," Gerald Sconyers said.
