Police are investigating a string of attacks using explosive devices in Washington DC.
A Nike store, a Truist bank branch and a Safeway grocery store were targeted in three quick-fire incidents in the early-hours of Sunday morning. The three stores all suffered damage, say the DC Police Department.
The attacks all took place within a space of 15 minutes, with suspects speeding away in vehicle. Fortunately, no injuries have been reported.
However, damage was reported at all three buildings, with windows shattered. The first attack, on an ATM at a Truist bank, happened 4.30am, near Washington Place.
Six minutes later, a device exploded outside a Nike store on H Street, north of Capitol Hill. Then, at around 4.45am, a petrol bomb was thrown at a Safeway store on 40th Street.
